Welcome!
You’re taking a step towards considering therapy.
Whether you’re looking for help with a current situation or embarking on a path to growth and self-awareness, it’s important you feel supported and accompanied.
Here are some things to keep in mind as you search:
Therapy is an investment of your time, money, and focus. The treatment I provide – a therapy of depth, insight, and relationship – is an evidence-based practice. Recent findings in neuroscience as well as meta-analyses of psychotherapy outcomes support the efficacy of psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapies. Some studies show that people’s lives continue to flourish even after they stop therapy. This is possible because the goal of treatment is not only to relieve your current symptoms, but also to increase your capacity to find greater enjoyment and meaning in life, and to be able to face challenges with greater clarity, freedom, and flexibility.
Your relationship with your therapist is an important predictor of success. Therapy is a process of self-reflection, self-exploration, and self-discovery which can only take place within a safe and deeply authentic relationship. It’s important that you find your therapist to be a warm, intelligent, sensitive, honest, and capable person with whom you feel heard and understood. There has to be an environment of care and respect in which you can express your thoughts and feelings without feeling judged or ashamed.
Telehealth therapy can be an effective option to in-person treatment. In addition to a bricks-and-mortar office in Metro Atlanta, I offer professional, confidential psychotherapy services with the convenience of telehealth for adults anywhere in Georgia.
You don’t have to do this alone. I invite you to take the next step with me.
